Courage and Confidence. These words were first spoken over two hundred years ago by St. Madeleine Sophie Barat, foundress of the Society of the Sacred Heart. Here at Newton Country Day, we focus on the same core values that are reflected in Sacred Heart schools around the world. Highly motivated students and faculty of all faiths create a vibrant community distinguished by vigorous intellect, active compassion, and joyful traditions.
Second semester has now begun, and there is a renewed excitement about learning throughout our classrooms. It's crunch time for our Middle School thespians, who are busy rehearsing for their upcoming performance of "Give My Regards to Broadway." In the Upper School, Mock Trial and Model U.N., two of our Upper School Committees, are in the midst of trials and conferences. In athletics, our varsity squash team is now able to host matches on campus on the beautiful new courts at the Martin Center. While many of our seniors have already been accepted to college, all of them have submitted their applications and are focused on enjoying their last few months at NCDS.
To discover what Newton Country Day has to offer, I suggest you begin by exploring our website. Although our application deadline has passed, please call the Admission Office at (617) 244-4246 if your plans have changed and you are now interested in applying for the 2017-18 school year.
I wish you and your family courage and confidence as you navigate the school application process.
