Courage and Confidence. These words were first spoken over two hundred years ago by St. Madeleine Sophie Barat, foundress of the Society of the Sacred Heart. Here at Newton Country Day, we focus on the same core values that are reflected in Sacred Heart schools around the world. Highly motivated students and faculty of all faiths create a vibrant community distinguished by vigorous intellect, active compassion, and joyful traditions.

Faculty and students are beginning to find their way back to campus in preparation for final planning sessions, preseason practices, and AP class meetings as the first official day of school rapidly approaches. Our new Wellness Center, dedicated and blessed last spring by Cardinal Seán Patrick O’Malley, Archbishop of Boston, is a wonderful addition to our facilities, and its opening has been much anticipated by our students.

To discover what Newton Country Day has to offer, I encourage you to explore our website. We will begin offering tours and interviews in mid-September, so please call the Admissions Office if you have any questions or would like to schedule a visit.

I wish you and your family courage and confidence as you navigate the school application process.

I miss the Newton Country Day School family, a community so deeply connected through faith, a commitment to service and a desire to bring the love of Sacred Heart to the world. I look forward to reuniting with this family every chance I have!
