He will my shield and portion be…         As long as life endures                                                                                               Amazing Grace   We began the practice of Espacio this year, pausing daily for five minutes of silent prayer, reflection and peace. The girls tell us that some days it is easy to settle into prayer, other days the five minutes seem endless; some days it is an interruption, others a relief. But, as one girl said to me, “It is always good to stop and be reminded of God.”   Espacio has been enlivened considerably by the bell, the gift of the Parents of the Class of 2013. The bell will call generations of Sacred Heart children to prayer. It will always remind me of what this Class has been to our school. They love the mission of Sacred Heart schools. They work hard at building our school community and they are a faith-filled group. From placing favorite words of Saint Madeleine Sophie throughout the school to Christmas Wishes through Senior Project, the seniors have been model citizens.   My thanks to you for your good example in your support of the school. From Homecoming, class suppers, Thanksgiving Baskets and Mother-Daughter Liturgy, to new evening presentations and Dads’ Drop-off, the Parents’ Association provided opportunities to learn, to build relationships and to be of service to the wider community.              In the sacred space of summer I will continue to pray in thanksgiving for your generosity to the school both in your service as volunteers and through your participation in the Annual Fund. Your devotion to the school is humbling…His grace surrounds us.              Gratefully,       Sister Barbara Rogers Headmistress
