Stock & Securities
Making a gift of securities is simple and tax efficient. Gifts of appreciated stock may allow donors to avoid a capital gains tax in addition to receiving a charitable income tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock. To initiate a gift of stock, please contact the Development Office, at development@newtoncountryday.org or 617-244-4246 if you would like to transfer stock certificates.
Planned Gifts
Planned gifts are gifts that allow individuals to donate to the school through a trust, annuity, insurance policy, or bequest. Certain planned gifts such as a life income trust can provide financial advantages during one’s lifetime. This is an excellent way to help secure the future of Newton and to also achieve personal financial goals.
Matching Gifts

Gifts-in-Kind
Gifts of personal property are accepted if they serve a purpose in the life of the school and are approved by the Newton Country Day School Gift Committee. All gifts in kind are tax deductable and may require appraisal for tax purposes.

Gifts In Honor or In Memoriam
Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart offers the opportunity to give a gift to Newton in honor of an individual. Donors may also give a gift in memoriam.
On receipt of such a gift, Newton will inform the honoree or the family of the deceased individual of the gift, and will provide donors with a gift acknowledgement. The designee and the donor will be recognized in the Newton Country Day School Annual Report.
