Audi Best Buddies Challenge
In collaboration with the 10th grade service project, Mr. Hoks is forming an NCDS team to participate in the Audi Best Buddies Challenge, an annual bicycle ride that ends in Hyannis Port (www.HPChallenge2010.org). All are invited to join the team. Each individual will need to raise $1,500 to do the ride. Fundraising directly supports Best Buddies and helps improve the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. Team members may choose a 20 mile, 50 mile, or 100 mile route. To join, go to www.HPChallenge2010.org/teamncds. To pledge a donation to the cause, you may do so at the same page. Contact Mr. Hoks at x4817 with questions, or for a paper pledge form.
Financial Aid Information: The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. It is imperative that students file as soon as possible. Students should check the website for further support and information. All colleges require the FAFSA. Students seeking financial aid for college should determine as soon as possible whether colleges where they will submit an application require the CSS profile. Go to each college’s financial aid website to determine if the CSS Profile is required. If so, seniors and their parents should immediately complete the CSS Profile on-line. The CSS Profile is available at www.collegeboard.com. The CSS Profile is only a preliminary application for some private colleges.
