Newton Country Day is pleased to offer direct bus transportation daily to and from Boston as well as the MetroWest (current 2023-24 school year) and, starting for the 2024-25 school year, a Southern Corridor route.
After the first few weeks of school, students will be required to show the bus driver a special decal on their school ID to be allowed to ride the bus. Students must be up-to-date with their payment for the bus service to receive the required decal.
For each school year, the per-rider fee is $4,000 (round-trip route) or $2,000 (one-way route). Riders receiving tuition assistance may qualify for a prorated fee. Families may register for bus service during the enrollment contract process.

Delayed Start
If Newton Country Day has a delayed start due to weather, the buses will depart from each stop 15 minutes later than the regularly scheduled time. This allows students extra time to get to the bus.
Announcing Southern Corridor Bus Route for 2024-25 school year!
Beginning in September 2024, Newton Country Day will offer a Southern Corridor bus route with stops in Needham (St. Sebastian's), Westwood (University Ave), and Hingham (Derby Street).

Newton Residents: Public School Bus Option
In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Newton residents whose children attend private schools in Newton are eligible for bus transportation provided by the Newton Public School district. Learn more here.

MBTA Student CharlieCards are available through the school. Girls interested in using a student CharlieCard will receive a Student Value Charlie Card, a stored value card that only charges the student fare each time it is used. This is the only type of card distributed through the school. Students will load the card themselves with funds at CharlieCard machines at MBTA stations. If during any month a student loads the card with $30, that card will allow the student to use the card for unlimited trips for that particular month. Therefore, if you would like your card to become an unlimited ride card for a particular month, do not load that card until the first day of that month. Contact Martha Haddad at x4713 with questions.
From Allston/Brighton, Belmont, Waltham, or Watertown: At Watertown Square, take Bus #52 Newton Center to school entrance.
From Boston: At the corner of Summer Street and Otis Street, take Express Bus #504 to Newton Corner. Change to Bus #52 to the entrance of the school OR from Park Street Station take the Green Line (D Line-Riverside) to Newton Center. Take Bus #52.
From Brookline: Take the D line outbound to Newton Center. Take Bus #52 to the entrance of the school.
From Cambridge: Take the Watertown bus from Harvard Square. At Watertown Square take Bus #52 Newton Center to the school entrance.
From Dedham: Take the Manor Bus to Spring Street Cafe in West Roxbury. Take Bus #52 to the entrance of the school; OR from the Dedham Mall take Bus #52 to the entrance of the school.
From East Boston and Revere: Take the Blue Line to Government Center, then switch to the Green Line outbound (D Line-Riverside) to Newton Center. Take Bus #52 to the entrance of the school; OR take Express Bus #304 from downtown Boston to Newton Corner. Take Bus #52 to the entrance of the school.
From Forest Hills Station: Take any bus that travels along Centre Street in West Roxbury. At the Dunkin’ Donuts on Centre and Baker Streets in West Roxbury, change to Bus #52 to the entrance of the school.
From Framingham: Take the 6:29 a.m. Commuter Train to Newtonville. Take Bus #53 or #54 to Newton Corner. Take Bus #52 to the entrance of the school. Take the 4:46 p.m. Commuter Train to Framingham.
From Hyde Park/Roslindale: Take Bus #50 Cleary Square or Bus #32 Walcott Square to Forest Hills Station. Follow directions from Forest Hills.
From Norwood: At Norwood Center take the East Walpole bus to the Dedham Mall. Take Bus #52 to the entrance of the school.
From West Roxbury: At Spring Street Cafe, at Dunkin’ Donuts (Centre and Baker Streets), or at Vermont and Baker Streets, take Bus #52 to the entrance of the school.
From Westwood: Go to the Dedham Mall or Spring Street Cafe in West Roxbury and take Bus #52 to the entrance of the school.
