Research and Reflection
- Students should begin actively thinking about college during their junior year. Review college handbooks in the College Guidance Office, visit the websites of prospective colleges, and speak with friends and family who are currently in college.
- The more information that is gathered the better the chances of making a realistic and suitable list of college possibilities.
- Geographic location should be considered as well as the size of the school.
- Each girl meets with College Guidance in the spring to discuss her interests and preferences for college.
- Within a week or two of this initial meeting, College Guidance will provide a preliminary list of colleges for each student to research, and potentially visit, over Spring Vacation.
