Hispanic Heritage Film Festival Engages Students ln Stories of Culture and Connection

In observance of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Office of Community and Belonging hosted a Hispanic Heritage Film Festival for both Middle and Upper School students. Each grade in the Middle School viewed short films that highlighted Latin American and Hispanic voices, celebrating Hispanic culture, history, art, and storytelling, followed by personal reflections and Belonging Circle conversations. Upper School students enjoyed a series of powerful short films presented in the Sweeney-Husson Theatre (displayed by our new state-of-the-art projector), followed by a film synopsis and guided reflection led by Ms. Susie Ramirez ‘99 P ‘31, Director of Community and Belonging. The film festivals honored Hispanic heritages through stories that sparked curiosity and empathy, leaving students inspired by the power of storytelling.

The Hispanic Heritage Film Festival brought the vibrant voices of Spanish-speaking communities to life with a compelling lineup of short films from the U.S., Mexico, Chile, and Spain:
