The excitement was palpable on Wednesday, Sep. 6 as students greeted families on the front driveway of the school with loud cheers and welcome signs. Opening Day of Newton Country Day School's 144th academic year brought students together with classmates old and new before classes began the next day.
Each year, the school community focuses on one of the five Goals of Sacred Heart Schools. For the 2023-24 school year, Newton Country Day will illuminate Goal II: Schools of the Sacred Heart educate to a deep respect for intellectual values.
All members of the school community look forward to Homecoming Weekend Friday, Sep. 22 and Saturday, Sep. 23, and the all-school Mass of the Holy Spirit and Blue Silver Induction in the coming weeks.
