The Upper School Presents Footloose: November 18, 19, & 20
The Newton Country Day Upper School presents Footloose on Thursday, November 18 at 7 p.m., Friday, November 19 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, November 20 at 2 p.m. in Sweeney-Husson Theatre. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased here. Purchased tickets will be at will call the day of the performance.

Footloose is the story of Ren McCormack, a teenager from Chicago who moves to the small town of Bomont. Upon arriving, Ren finds himself at odds with most of the town, including Mayor Shaw Moore. The town of Bomont has banned dancing and rock music, which Ren finds unbelievable. With the help of Ariel (the Mayor's daughter) and Willard (who becomes his best friend), Ren must convince the town council to repeal the local ordinance and, in the process, help the town to heal from a devastating tragedy.
