The Upper School Presents Mamma Mia!: November 14 & 15
The Newton Country Day Upper School presents Mamma Mia! on Thursday, November 14 and Friday, November 15 at 7 p.m. in Sweeney-Husson Theatre. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online.
Told through the legendary music of ABBA, Mamma Mia! takes place on a small Greek island. It is here that Sophie dreams of a perfect wedding — one which includes her father giving her away. But her mother Donna, the former lead singer of the 1970s pop group, refuses to talk about the past, so Sophie decides to take matters into her own hands. Sneaking a peek in her mother’s old diary, she discovers three old friends, one of whom could be her father. She secretly invites all three to the wedding, convinced that she will know her father when she sees him. But when all three turn up, things are not as clear as she hoped.
