Senior Project
The Senior Project is a capstone experience designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and the professional world. Over the course of a month, students dedicate approximately 100 hours to gaining hands-on experience through internships, job shadowing, or independent passion projects. This immersive opportunity allows students to apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings, develop essential career and life skills, and explore potential career paths that align with their interests and goals.
Each student engages with two guiding questions throughout their Senior Project. The first is the Purpose Question, which asks: How can I use my skills and my passion to make the world a better place? This question encourages students to think deeply about how their strengths and interests can contribute meaningfully to the world around them, ensuring that their project is aligned with their long-term goals rather than simply serving as another box to check. The second is the Research Question, a field-specific inquiry that invites students to investigate a topic or challenge relevant to their area of exploration. Through research, analysis, and presentation, students gain insight into professional practices and academic approaches within their chosen field.
The Senior Project embodies our school’s mission to educate the whole child—fostering intellectual curiosity, personal growth, and social awareness. It is, in many ways, the gift of time: a chance for students to explore, reflect, and take purposeful steps toward a future where their talents, passions, and sense of purpose come together in meaningful ways.
