Tuition and Payment Options
Tuition for the 2018-19 academic year is $49,560.
Tuition is set annually by the Board of Trustees. A sample payment schedule follows:
April 10 - $2,000 enrollment deposit is due to secure place in class
July 31 - One half of tuition balance and student activity fee
December 31 - Balance of the tuition and student activity fee
Upper School students are required to have a laptop, or other comparable device, to bring to school as needed.
Families may participate in the Smart Tuition 10-month payment plan. This option includes a $45 enrollment fee per family, which allows families to pay for tuition in 10 monthly installments beginning in June.

The Tuition Refund Plan administered by A.W.G. Dewar Insurance Agency is available to purchase for $1,111. This Plan allows you the opportunity to insure your financial obligations to the school in the event of a student's absence or separation according to the terms of the policy. If elected, you will be invoiced for this Plan on July 1, 2018. A brochure detailing the specifics of the Plan is available in the Business Office and can be obtained by calling (617) 244-4246.
Important Tuition Assistance Dates and Timeline
Deadline to submit Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS)
For both new applicants and returning families, the tuition assistance application process begins in early November. You must submit your Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) online through the School & Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) website here.
A separate PFS form is required by each parent if divorced or separated and filing separate tax returns.
Deadline for both new applicants and returning families to upload to SSS copies of signed IRS 1040 forms, tax schedules, Business/Farm statements, and all W-2 forms for tax year 2017. New applicants will also submit the same for tax year 2016.
Returning families will receive their tuition assistance award in early March.
Accepted applicants will receive their tuition assistance award in the mail, with additional information from the Admission Department. This will be mailed on March 9.
Newton Country Day School cannot guarantee the availability of funds for late applicants.
