As an introduction to colored pencil rendering techniques, and drawing from printed reference material, students in Art III created a five-panel series depicting two unrelated objects morphing into each other.

This winter, the Campus Ministry committee asked Upper School girls to create artwork illustrating how they imagine Mater Admirabilis might look like in 2020. Two stood out among the submissions received and are currently on display outside of the Chapel.
Ten Newton Country Day students were recognized by the 2020 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. The awards are presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, a non-profit whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent.
C. Capeci ’19 was recognized as a National Medalist in the 2019 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for her Gold Key piece “Surrealism.” This is the highest award given on the national level for the Scholastic Art Awards.
