FAQs

What is the difference between Annual Fund and Capital gifts?

Annual giving supports Newton’s operating budget for the current year. It is an investment in an existing program. Capital gifts are investments in the future. Similarly, donors tend to make Annual Fund gifts from their income and Capital gifts, which are often larger, from their assets. Both are equally important to the financial well-being of the school.

When is my gift due?

Annual Fund gifts are due by June 30, the fiscal year-end for the school.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Newton accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, in addition to payments by check and Venmo. For more giving options, visit our ways to give page here

May I donate securities?

We will gladly accept a gift of securities. Stock held in a brokerage or bank account can be transferred electronically to the school's account by your broker/banker.
Please fill out our Notification of Intended Stock Gift form here.

If you have any questions, please contact the Development Office at development@newtonSH.org or (617) 244-4246.

Will Newton accept matching gifts?

Many companies match charitable contributions. Matching gifts can double or even triple the size of your gift. If you have a question about Matching Gifts, contact Cynthia Nelson, Director of Annual Giving, at (617) 559-4711. To find out if your employer has a matching gift program, contact your Human Resources Department or use the search bar below.
