Sheehan Scholars
Jerry and Maureen Cortelli Sheehan '51 are visionary philanthropists who have supported the educational and co-curricular aspirations of hundreds of students over time at Jerry's alma mater, St. Peter's Prep, as well as the College of the Holy Cross, and now at Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart (known as Boston Academy of the Sacred Heart when Maureen was a student).
The couple has generously provided scholarship support for Newton Country Day students. Known as Sheehan Scholars, they are distinguished young women of intellectual curiosity and limitless capacity. We have artists, athletes, and leaders among them, and each is an irreplaceable member of our community.
Newton Country Day is immensely grateful to the Sheehans for their incredible commitment of support to the School.
