Mission & Ministry

Faith-based education and Catholic identity, expressed through the charism of the Religious of the Sacred Heart, are central to the mission of Newton Country Day School. In 2025, the Mission & Ministry Fund was established by a generous donor to ensure that this identity continues in perpetuity for generations to come. This enduring gift strengthens mission and ministry programs while deepening Newton Country Day’s affiliation as a member of the Network of Sacred Heart Schools.

In a short time, the Mission & Ministry Fund has had a notice impact on our students. Our Peer Ministry Leaders recently participated in their first-ever retreat, centered on the theme of Cherished Belonging which, much like the schoolwide address by Father Greg Boyle, SJ, affirms that each of us is cherished by God and an essential part of this remarkable community. The retreat, held at the Connors Family Retreat and Conference Center, provided a transformative experience of reflection, fellowship, and spiritual growth.

We are profoundly grateful to the benefactor whose generosity makes it possible to expand these opportunities and to strengthen the faith-filled foundation that is central to Newton Country Day School.
