Sheehan Scholars
Newton Country Day School is blessed to be supported by donors who believe that a faith-based Sacred Heart education, rooted in the Catholic tradition, is truly transformative. In 2022, Maureen Cortelli Sheehan ’51 and her husband, Jerry, established the Sheehan Scholars Program so that a Newton Country Day education was accessible to curious and intellectually vibrant young women who could not consider this educational opportunity without financial support.
Thanks to the continuing generosity of the Sheehan family, future Sheehan Scholars will have the opportunity to experience this remarkable education. We are deeply grateful to the Sheehans for their belief in Newton Country Day School and in the power of a Sacred Heart education to change the lives of young women.
