Planned Giving
The Founders' Society - A Way to Leave a Lasting Legacy
In 1993, the Founders’ Society was formed to recognize members of the NCDS community who have designated the School in their estate plans. Since then, many alumnae, parents, and friends of NCDS have chosen to make a lasting impact on the lives of our students through a planned gift.
Legacy gifts - or planned gifts - provide the financial strength and security required for the School's continued growth. The most common legacy gifts are a bequest made in a will or a beneficiary designation of a retirement fund or life insurance policy. Legacy gifts may be made for unrestricted or restricted purposes. Unrestricted gifts are used for the greatest needs of the School, while restricted gifts are designated for critical initiatives such as endowment, tuition assistance for students, academic programs, endowed chairs, athletics, etc.
Planned gifts are not just for the wealthy; anyone can create a lasting legacy for our girls. Members of the Founders' Society ensure that young women will continue to develop the courage and confidence to realize St. Madeleine Sophie's vision of transforming the world.
By becoming a member of the Founders' Society, you are making a sound investment in the future of NCDS while establishing an enduring connection to the School. Becoming part of the Founders' Society is simple. Establish any of the following estate plans, and you will qualify for membership:
