Sustainability

As a Sacred Heart school, we are called to assume accountability for God’s creation and actively steward the Earth and its resources. This commitment is integrated into our curriculum and extends beyond the classroom, fostering a culture of environmental advocacy. We empower our students to become leaders in shaping the world they envision with these environmental initiatives to engage and inspire multiple generations of our Newton Country Day and Sacred Heart communities.

Sustainability in our Sacred Heart Goals

Goal III: Schools of the Sacred Heart commit themselves to educate to a social awareness which impels to action.

  • Criterion 4: All members of the school community accept accountability for the care of God’s creation, practice effective stewardship of the earth’s resources and work to alleviate the climate crisis.
  • Criterion 7: Sacred Heart educators work to develop in the students a life-long commitment to service.
