Student Helps Lower Voting Age in Brookline

On Thursday, November 21, C. Bizup ’23 spoke before the Brookline Town Meeting to advocate for the passage of a warrant article to lower the voting age in municipal elections to 16. Thanks to the lobbying efforts of people like Bizup, the article passed 142 in favor, 71 opposed, and six abstaining.

 Psychology Students Compete in Design-A-Toy Project

This fall, students in Developmental Psychology studied children's cognitive, social, and emotional development. In order to reinforce their knowledge, the girls competed in a Design-A-Toy project to create a toy to aid children in reaching their developmental milestones. 

Senior Athletes Commit to Boston College, Georgetown University

On Monday, November 18, Newton Country Day seniors O. Czech ’20 and K. McGauley ’20 committed to continue their athletic careers in college. Czech signed a National Letter of Intent to become a member of the Women’s Rowing Team at Georgetown University, and McGauley signed a Commitment Letter to join the Sailing Team at Boston College.
